“Why not get someone in who is rapid and confident and has the exuberance of youth to put the cat among the pigeons? They need something to liven them up, so why not give him the chance?
“He can go in there fearless, not to the point where he is careless, but so he can express himself. He has been well coached under Graham Potter at Swansea and now is the chance to show what he can do on a bigger stage.
“He has the kind of electric pace that is reminiscent of United wingers of yesteryear. It will be fascinating to see what happens for him there.”

“Defensively, he’s a disaster.
“Quite frankly, the reason Barcelona got beat 4-0 by Liverpool was partly down to the two full-backs.

6.30am UPDATE: Daniel Sturridge to Arsenal?
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been backed to join Arsenal by Clinton Morrison.
“What does he want to do next, Daniel Sturridge?” Morrison said on talkSPORT.
“Does he want to stay in the Premier League? The pace of the Premier League is really fast.
“I still believe Daniel Sturridge is good enough to play for, maybe not a Liverpool or a Man City, but he could probably go to an Arsenal.
“Would he sit on the bench at Tottenham? I don’t think at this stage in his career Daniel Sturridge will want to be a bench player and come on and make an impact.
“What you’ve got to realise at Tottenham, Harry Kane will always play.
“Does he want to go to Italy where the football is a bit slower? He’s got great technical ability.
“Before all of these injuries, for me personally, I think he was the best English striker in the country.
“At the time I can come on record saying here he was better than Harry Kane.
“He’s the most natural finisher I’ve seen playing. Obviously he’s had a lot of injuries and stuff like that.
“But for me I think he would be a great addition for most Premier League teams.”

6am UPDATE: Philippe Coutinho to return to Premier League
Philippe Coutinho is set to return to the Premier League this summer after a turbulent spell at Barcelona, claims European football expert Julien Laurens.

“How? With what money?” he said on ESPN FC.
“There’s no room anywhere in the wage bill for Coutinho, as a transfer fee for Coutinho.
“It’s not even a position that is there priority.
“So for me it’s, and from what I’ve heard from the club, there’s nothing in that story at all.”
