Nottingham Forest show ‘concrete interest’ in 2m euro-rated Swedish attacker
Nottingham Forest are said to have shown “a concrete interest” in Sweden international Hosam Aiesh – but they are not the only Championship club keen on the attacker.
Leeds United sent scouts to watch him in action for Ostersunds FK last weekend – with boss Marcelo Bielsa reportedly in attendance – and Reading are also keen, according to Swedish outlet Fotboll Direkt.
It is claimed Ostersunds have placed a pricetag of at least 2m euros on his head, after a previous bid of that amount from a Turkish side.
Both the Reds and Reading are said to have contacted the club about the player, who himself has expressed a wish to move on this summer.
“I think everyone knows that I want to leave this summer,” he told the Football Channel last month. “I have been at Ostersunds FK for four-and-a-half years this summer.
“I have had a great time and enjoy it, but it feels like I want to try something new and sometimes it has to do with time as well.
“I want to find something new and try something new for my development.”
Under contract until 2021, he was asked if he thought his club would let him go.
“Yes, I hope so,” he replied. “If anything good comes, I think all clubs are ready to release their players, if they are not (Lionel) Messi or (Cristiano) Ronaldo, but I am not, so I think they are.”
And questioned on whether he had thought about a new club, he added: “I actually have no idea. I have not reasoned so much.
“I think you have to reason when the summer comes, the window opens – and if you then have a couple of offers. Then you have to think about that.
“When it comes, you have to think about it, but now you are fully focused on Ostersunds and the matches that are left.”
The 24-year-old winger/forward joined Ostersunds from fellow Swedish team BK Hacken in 2015.
He has made eight appearances so far this season and scored one goal, with their campaign having kicked off in March.
